Teaching

glasg_pic2.jpg

I currently teach Comparative Public Opinion and West European Politics to 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students at the University of Glasgow

When I was at Oxford, I taught first, second and third year tutorials and occasional lectures on Comparative Government, Political Sociology, Comparative Political Economy, and Introduction to Politics.

From a methodological point of view, I was the instructor of the postgraduate course on Multilevel Models for the Social Science division at the University of Oxford (2013-2018). I have also instructed a workshop on multilevel models at the University of Freiburg, at the ESADE business school Barcelona, and adviced at a postgraduate level on the application of basic and complex statistical techniques with different packages (Stata, MlWin, and R).

I have been invited to a number of talks and guest lectures in different universities. I find teaching one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, especially when related to comparative politics, political behaviour, European politics, statistical methods, or migration studies. In 2014 I was the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award by the Social Science Division at the University of Oxford.
